The answer is:  " 1[tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex] " ;  or; write as:  " 1.5 " .

8/10 + 7/10 = (8+7)/ 10 = 15/10= (15÷5) / (10÷5) = 3/2 ;

=  " 1[tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex] " ;  or; write as:  " 1.5 " .
