Find the slope and the equation of the line through the points (-4,9) and(8,12)

The formula for a slope is [tex] \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} [/tex]. Inserting those values into the equation, we get (12 - 9) / (8 - (-4)) = 3/12 = 1/4
