An "Imprecatory" Psalm is one that is used to invoke a curse against ones enemies on the basis that it is against the law of God. The are called this because of how they actively curse of invoke the will of God against these "perceived" enemies of God. The definition of "imprecatory" is to "invoke evil against someone."
