Let's write that as  y  = 1202 + 1,133x.  Substitute 3 for x in this formula:

y  = 1202 + 1,133(3)                     and calculate the y-value:

                                                      y = 1202 + 3399  =  4601   (answer)

When x=3, this regression equation predicts that y will be 4601.
