Getting aid to the people impacted by the cyclone in Burma is so difficult because the military government denies the basic freedoms and has placed undue restrictions on agencies giving the aid.
The military government wanted to retain its control among its people to the detriment of the peoples' welfare. The government wanted to accept the aid packets but does not want to welcome the aid workers who are tasked to assist and distribute the aid packets.
