An aggregate refers to people who share the same physical space, but do not see themselves as belonging together. The term ‘aggregate’ was coined by Karl Marx when explaining social structures. Marx claimed that a social aggregate differs from a social group, wherein the latter involves two or more individuals who are familiar to each other, interacting together.
