First, multiply the first number by the denominator of the fraction.
In this case, you would multiply 5 by 6.
5x6=30

Then, add that to the numerator of the fraction; in this case, 1.
30+1

Finally, put that number on top of the original denominator for the final fraction.

Converted into a decimal is 5.166 converted into an improper fraction it's 31/6. I found these answers by dividing 1 divided by 6 which is 5.166 and by multipling 5 x 6 + 1= 31/6
