Verify each of the solutions by substituting them back into the original equation log(−2a+9)=log(7−4a)log(-2a+9)=log(7-4a) and solving. In this case, all solutions were found to be valid.a=−1

assuming it's the same base log on either side you can just set the inside equal.

-2a + 9 = 7 - 4a
-2a + 4a = 7 - 9
2a = -2
a = -1
