Describe how a volcano is formed at a Continental Rift. Be sure to include, in your description, what is occurring at the plate boundary

Continental Rifts occur when the Earth's plates either push into each other or pull away from each other, and can lead to the formation of a volcano. When this occurs the Earth's crust is broken up into pieces called plates. The place where the edges of two plates meet is called a boundary.
