Beef = [tex]22 \frac{1}{2} = \frac{45}{2} [/tex] lbs

1 Package = [tex]1 \frac{1}{4} = \frac{5}{4} [/tex] lb

Number of packages

=  [tex]\frac{45}{2} / \frac{5}{4} = \frac{45}{2} * \frac{4}{5} = 9 * 2 [/tex] = 18

Hence, 18 packages were made.
