How much time does it take to use 300 W of power to do 1800 J of work? Round your answer to the nearest whole number.

Rate of performing work is called power.

Time = work done/Power = 1800/300 = 6 sec.
Therefore it takes 6 secs to perform work.

Solution : Given,

Power = 300 W= 300 J/s     (1 W= 1 J/s)

Work = 1800 J

Power : It is defined as the rate at which work is done.

Formula used :

[tex]Power=\frac{Work}{Time}\\\\Time=\frac{Work}{Power}[/tex]

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get

[tex]Time=\frac{1800J}{300J/s}=6s[/tex]

Therefore, the time it take will be, 6 seconds.
