Hamlet wanted revenge for the murder of his father. He had everything planned out. He was driven by his emotions and tactical reasoning. However, when the time came when could fulfill his ultimate plan (to kill his father's killer), his conscience and his mind become inconsistent stopping him from accomplishing his plan.
