This is because 6 / 3 = 2 x 2 = 4,
2/3 of 6 = 4.

The answer is 4 because there is 6 lemons in all. So a number that could go into 6 three times is 2. So 2 three times would give you 6. 2/3 is asking for that number(2) that can go into 6 three times twice. So 2 +2=4. 3 is your denominator. Hope that answers you question
