difference between powerful and powerless language
a. Powerless language: people perceive speech using language forms, such as hedges (I think...) tag questions in simple statements (We should head out now for the movies okay?), or disclaimers (or I probably shouldn't say this but...), as ineffective and powerless.
b. Powerful language: Speech free if such usage aforementioned is considered both powerful and effective.
