The south had a few advantages ... one of them being that have amazing leaders Like Stone Wall Jackson, Nathan Bedford Forrest ,Robert E. Lee, Ulysess S. Grant, George Pickett, James Longstreet, and Keribe Smith
They also had a longer coast line but that was about it for my answer
