Solution:

Given;

[tex]y=x^2-6x+5[/tex]

The x-intercepts are the points where y=0.

Thus;

[tex]x^2-6x+5=0[/tex]

Thus;

[tex]\begin{gathered} x^2-x-5x+5=0 \\ \\ x(x-1)-5(x-1)=0 \\ \\ x-1=0,x-5=0 \\ \\ x=1,x=5 \end{gathered}[/tex]

ANSWER:

[tex]x=1,x=5[/tex]
