How much work is done by gravity if you lift a 10 kg rock 2m into the air?

Answer:

Work done = force acting on 10kg object* distance travelled.

Force = mass * acceleration due to gravity

Force = 10*9.81

Force = 98.1N

So work done = 98.1*2

Work done = 196.2Nm
