The perimeter of a rectangle is 12x + 4.
Part A: If the length of the rectangle is 4x - 1, what is the width of the rectangle.

P= 2(l+w)
12x +4 = 2(l+w)
L= 4x - 1
12x +4 = 2(4x - 1 + w)
12x + 4 = 8x - 2 + 2W
4x + 6 = 2W
W = 2x + 3
