In addition to writing works on important issues, the most notable way in which educated wealthy women contributed to the Enlightenment was by hosting salons for intellectual discussions. Women set uo these venues and it was attended by highly intelligent people who discussed their ideas and views with others. The exchange of ideas resulted in more progressive concepts that contributed to the age of enlightenment.
