You need to isolate the variable h.

1) Subtract both sides by 2.

-4h + 2 = 18
-4h + 2 - 2 = 18 - 2
-4h = 16

2) Divide both sides by -4 (the coefficient).
(-4h) / -4 = 16 / -4
h = -4
