Clonal selection ensures lymphocytes are able to respond to antigen.

What is Clonal selection?

This is the phenomenon which explains the behavior of  B or T cell in  recognizing an antigen that enters the body and then reproduces clonal cells in order to eliminate the antigen.

By so doing, the clonal selection ensures that the lymphocytes are able to respond to antigen in body cells.
