Given : The whole number is 5.

Explanation

We use the whole number 5.

The additive inverse of 'a' is -a

a+(-a)=0

For the whole number 5, the additive inverse of 5 is -5

Multiplicative inverse of 'a' is [tex]\frac{1}{a}[/tex]

because [tex]a \cdot \frac{1}{a}=1[/tex]
