Using PEDMAS, you would divide I/2 first, then add 2 to that and subtract I from the equation. It all varies on what "i" is, however.

The solution to the problem is as follows:
2+i/2−i

=(2+i/2−i)∗(2+i/2+i)

=(4+4i−1/5)

=(3/5)
