In order to know, we need to solve this.

-t-2=-3t+23

We add -2 on both sides to cancel it out.

-t-2=-3t+23

 +2      +2

-t=-3t+25

Now we add -3t on both sides to cancel it out.

-t=-3t+25

+3t +3t

2t=25

Lastly, we divide 2 from t to both sides.

2t=25

/2   /2

t=12.5
