first of all we have to find the slope

m = y₂-y₁ / x₂-x₁

m = -8 + 16 / -10 + 8

m = 8/-2

m = -4

y-y₁ = m (x-x₁)

y + 8 = -4 (x + 10)

y + 8 = -4x - 40

y = -4x -40 - 8

y = -4x -48
