It's perimeter is given as 34.5 ft, so all you have to do is divide 34.5 by 4 since squares have 4 sides. 34.5/4 is 8.625, which, rounding to the nearest 1/100th, is 8.63. Rounding to the nearest 1/10th it's 8.6, and rounding to the nearest 1th  is 9 (although i doubt saying 1th is right, but just because).
