Answer:

x= -0.6  and   y = -2.02

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 1.2x + -1.3 ... (Equ 1)

y = -0.8x + -2.5 ...(Equ 2)

In (Equ 2), Substitute 1.2x + -1.3 for y

y = -0.8x - 2.5

1.2x + -1.3 = -0.8x + -2.5

1.2x + 0.8x = -2.5 + 1.3

2x = -1.2

x = -1.2/2

x= -0.6

To find y, substitute -0.6 for in (Equ 1)

y = 1.2x + -1.3

y = 1.2(-0.6) - 1.3

y = -0.72 - 1.3

y = -2.02
