Sine y has a power of -1/3 you bring y^-1/3 to the bottom. It become y^1/3. Then you subtract x^1/2 and x^1/4 because x^1/2 is on the top and x^1/4 is on the bottom it equals x^1/4. Since 1/2 is bigger than 1/4, x^1/4 will be on top. The y^1/2 and y^5/6 are both on the bottom so you add them and it equals y^5/6 and that will be on the bottom. So your answer is C.
