Biodiversity will increase which will make the ecosystem more immune towards diseases and changes in weather.

Example: If u have 1 type of fish in a lake and suddenly the water became salty for some reason, that kind of fish may not survive and if it doesn't there will be no life left in the lake, but if there were multiple types of fish and other animals then some of them would be able to survive and adapt on the change in environment.
