Answer:

(f+g)(x) = x²+5x-14 + (x-2)

           = x²+5x-14+x-2 = x²+6x-16

(f-g)(x) = x²+5x-14 - (x-2)

          = x²+5x-14 - x+2

          = x²+5x-14-x+2 = x²+4x-12
