The top answer is wrong. The boss doesn’t take it out on candy. He takes it out on Curley because Curley is the bosses son that is why Curley has a short temper and fights all the time but I don’t think that question is up above is even true. I read the book and I don’t remember the boss getting mad and taking it out on anyone he wasn’t really involved with the story but out of anyone he takes it out on Curley, candy is an employee who is old and is one of the bosses right hand man
