The density (d) of a substance is the ratio of its mass (m) to the amount of space it occupies (v). That is,
                               d = m / v
Substituting the given values,
                                d = 5.03 g / 3.24 mL = 1.55 g/mL
Therefore, the density of the substance is approximately equal to 1.55 g/mL.
