Answer: Absence of nucleus and membrane bound organelles

Explanation: Prokaryotes lack a well defined nucleus, they only possess a nucleoid which is just a strand of DNA in their cytoplasm. They also do not possess membrane bound organelles such as Golgi apparatus, etc like their eukaryotic counterparts
