there isn’t really a formula i use. if your using a graph i recommend looking at 0, then going down/up to your point and where the point is on the axis is the b.
just isolate the b variable to one side for the equation. this can be solved by substituting the slope(m) and the coordinates of a point (x, y) on the line in the slope-intercept formula and then solve for b.
