Hi! I would like for someone to check and critique my answer (using grammar and punctuation, checking grammar stuff.) I would also like to see if my response answers the question fully :
question:
this question asks about your work in your reading role. you may use your novel to help you answer the question. (The Watsons go to birgmiham 1963).

what impact did the novel had on you as a reader? would you recommend the novel to a friend? why or why not? support your response with at least 2 pieces of evidence from the novel.

my answer:

As a reader, this novel has given me a huge impact and I have enjoyed this novel a lot. I would recommend this to my friend because I want to spread the word and not repeat the same mistakes they did. There is some life events that happened before and still could happen today, wether they are good or bad. I would not repeat the same mistake all over again. this story shows how it relates to my family, for example, the problems Kenny and Byron face can relate as me and my sister. However, they still come up with a solution in the end. For example, one time when Kenny broke the rules before entering, there was a sign that clearly said no entering and trespassing, even though Kenny still went in the pool. When you break rules, there will not always be a good outcome, or consequence. A problem about Byron (a thirteen year old) in that he is the opposite of Kenny. He bullies younger kids at school, disobeying laws, and not following directions as given to him. One time, he even said that he was going to kill himself (eventually, he didn't), causing more problems. This can also be a lesson from the story about not to do the same mistakes as Byron did. This is how the story gave me an impact as a reader.

Answer:

There are a few things you could change, in the 2nd sentence you could have said," I would highly recommend this book to a friend." or something like that. Grammar: whether

" I would try to not  make the same mistakes so I can learn from them. This story relates to me and my family, me and my sister have some of the same conflicts and arguments me and my sister have."

"One difference of Kenny and Byron is that Kenny is very nice and try's to help others, Byron on the other hand likes to bullie people."

"This can also be a lesson from the story: I can try not to make the same mistakes as Byron did. This is how the story impacted me as a reader.
