Carrie and Kenny both play soccer. Kenny scored 3 times as many goals as Carrie. Together they scored 12 goals. Could Carrie have scored 2 goals?

Answer: No, she couldn't have scored only two goals because that would mean Kenny scored six and 2 + 6 does not equal 12.
