where,  

P is the pressure

V is the volume

n is the number of moles

T is the temperature  

R is Gas constant

Pressure is inversely proportional to the volume of the gas. Hence, This assumption is incorrect because the amount being added to flask affect both the pressure and the volume occupied by the air.
