Now, to find the total volume of the liquid in the beaker can be determined by simply adding both the volumes, i.e.  3.9 mL and  8.75 mL .

hence ,

the total volume in the beaker = 3.9 mL  + 8.75 mL = 12.65 mL

Therefore , the total volume in the beaker = 12.65 mL .
