This is what I did:
I divided the board in half
20/2=10
Then I divided 3 by 2
3/2=1.5
Then I went 10+1.5=11.5 and 10-1.5=8.5
Piece 1 is 11.5 feet long
Piece 2 is 8.5 feet long
