Here's a simple way to remember this: Keep, change, flip.

Or another obvious way: Keep, flip, change.       (KFC)


1 :  Keep the 56.  Or 56/1


2: Change or flip the division sign to multiplcation.


3: Then flip the fraction.  ( 11/8 )


4: Now multiply them.    56/1 x 11/8 = 616/8


5: Simplify if possible.   8 x 77 = 616


56 divided by 8/11 = 77
