First you had to rewrite as the problem.

Rewrite [tex]4*3=12[/tex]

[tex]4x-4*3[/tex]

Then you had to used their factor out by the common term of four.

[tex]=4(x-3)[/tex]

Final answer: [tex]\boxed{=4(x-3)}[/tex]
