x = [tex]\frac{15}{2}[/tex]

subtract 4x from both sides of the equation

6x - 4x - 2 = 13

2x - 2 = 13

add 2 to both sides

2x = 13 + 2 = 15

divide both sides by 2

x = [tex]\frac{15}{2}[/tex]
