-6(7k+2)=35+5k Find K. Help I was absent for 2 days and have no idea how to do this!

To solve the equation:

-6(7k+2)=35+5k

-6(7k)+(-6)(2)=35+5k

-42k-12=35+5k

-42k-5k=35+12

-47k=47

k=-47/47

k=1

Therefore the answer is k=1.
