A imunidade inata compreende a imunidade inerente ao ser humano, configurando-se nas barreiras físicas, como a pele, o muco, e outras estruturas físicas e químicas, que impedem a entrada de microorganismos no corpo.


Já a imunidade adaptativa e refere à produção de anticorpos, sendo necessário o duplo contato para que os plasmócitos sejam capazes de produzir anticorpos específicos, e armazenar em células de memória.
