Hey there! :)

I think you mean "slope".

Slope = y₂ - y₁  =   difference in y
             x₂ - x₁       difference in x

y
₂ = 9
y₁ = 5

9 - 5 = 4

x₂ = 4
x₁ = -2

4 - (-2) = 6

Difference in y ⇒ 4
Difference in x ⇒ 6

Slope = 4  ⇒ 2
             6  ⇒ 3

2/3 is the slope

Hope this helps :)
