The force required to accelerate a 12kg mass at 5 m/s^2 =  60 N

using the given data :

mass = 12 kg

acceleration = 5 m/s^2

applying The formula below

F = M * A

Force = mass * acceleration

∴ F = 12  * 5

     = 60 N

Hence we conclude that the required force to accelerate a 12kg body by 5 m/s^2 is 60 N
